This Jack Nicklaus Signature design is an excellent challenge of golf. Set on the rolling Nevada desert, the course is a scenic wonder. The course is the ultimate golf challenge from the tips at 7,471-yards but with four sets of tee boxes the course can also play 5,349 yards from the forward tees. Eleven lakes come into play on the course that many consider to be one of Nicklaus’ finest desert creations.

Coyote Springs was recognized as the #2 Best New Courses in the U. S. by Golf Digest, #3 Top 10 Best New Course You Can Play by GOLF Magazine, one of the Best Golf Courses of 2008 by Links Magazine and one of the Top 10 New Courses in the World by Travel & Leisure Golf. With that kind of resume, Coyote Springs should definitely be at the top of your “must play” list this year.
Hole #13, Par 4, 424 from the tips, 325 from the forward tees. As is the case with almost all the greens at Coyote Springs, you do not want to miss your approach shot into the wrong quadrant of the green or short-side yourself. It really looks like it has a pretty significant slope from back to front. Don’t be fooled. If you are putting towards the Sheep Range, putts are slower than they appear. You can leave a downhill putt here short. There is no water or out of bounds on #13 and there is a ton of grass AND par here is a very good score
